From the rugged beauty of Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon, to the strange landscape of the Devil’s Marbles, then onwards to the captivating Katherine Gorge, and the dazzling waterfalls of Kakadu National Park.

From hiking the Rim Walk at Kings Canyon, to soaking in the tranquil waters at Gunlom Falls, this 10 day trip will blow your mind!

Day 1 – Alice Springs to Uluru
Kick starting your tour early in Alice Springs where you will board the bus and travel to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. After a quick camel ride (own expense), you will embark on the famous Uluru Base Walk in the afternoon to really experience this stunning spiritual site, before learning a bit more about the Aboriginal culutre and the local Cultural Centre. Sunset at Uluru, followed by a traditional bush camp, sleeping in swags under the starry night sky. (B, L, D)

Day 2 – Uluru to Kings Creek Station
Up bright and early for another incredible day in the outback. Experience the mesmerising Uluru Sunset, before a short drive to Kata Tjuta to start the Valley of the Winds walk through the enchanting creeks and domes of this beautiful area. After a nice lunch to replenish your energy, it’s off to Kings Creek Cattle Station for another night under the stars in your swags! (B, L, D)

Day 3 – Kings Creek Station to Alice Springs
After an amazing night sleeping under the stars in Kings Creek you will enter the impressive Watarrka (Kings Canyon) National Park where you will embark on the 6km Kings Canyon Rim Walk. The canyon is huge, towering over beautiful palm forests, and as you walk the rim you will discover hidden gems, such as the Garden of Eden, the Lost City and the Amphitheatre. After another amazing day, you will head from Kings Canyon through the Alice Springs where you will spend the night in a hostel/motel. (B, L)

Day 4 – Free Day in Alice Springs 

Day 5 – Alice Springs to Banka Banka Cattle Station
After a good rest in Alice Springs, the tour kicks off again early on day 5, as you head off into the Northern Territory towards Darwin. You will visit the strangely balanced rock formations of the Devils Marbles (Karlu Karlu), before continuing on past Tennant Creek to the historic Banka Banka Cattle Station where you will spend the night. (B, L, D)

Day 6 – Banka Banka Cattle Station to Katherine
No trip to the Northern Territory is complete without a visit to famous Daly Waters Pub. A truly “outback” experience, as you enter an important drink stop for travellers through the ages. Make sure you bring something unique to leave here at Daly Waters – as is tradition. You will find bras, pants, hats, and all sorts of other trinkets here. After that it is off to the Mataranka Thermal Pools for a soak before setting up camp nearby in Katherine. (B, L, D)

Day 7 – Katherine to Darwin
Another early start for a short drive to the Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park. Over millions of years the gorge has been crafted by the peaceful Katherine River. Take a boat cruise, paddle a canoe (own expense) or just soak up the scenery from the top of the gorge, before heading up to Darwin where you will stay overnight in a local hostel/motel. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Darwin to Kakadu National Park
First stop on the National Park trail from Darwin will be the Mary River Wetlands for an awe inspiring cruise. Keep you eye out for the 250+ spcies of birds and the thousands of saltwater crocodiles that lurk in these waters, before getting back to solid ground and heading into Australia’s largest National Park – Kakadu! Experience some of the oldest artwork in the world as you take in the Ubirr Aboriginal Rock Art, learn the ancient stories and gaze upon the stunning panoramic views over the Arnhem Land, before heading to our campsite to stay for the night. (B, L, D)

Day 9 – Kakadu National Park to Litchfield National Park
Wake up in the picturesque Kakadu National Park and the first order of the day is to explore the impressive Twin and Jim Jim Falls. Heading along the 4×4 track you willbe rewarded with some of the best views of these impressive waterfalls. The afternoon will be time to leave this incredible park, and head over to the equally as impressive Litchfield National Park, stopping to camp at a private site just outside the park.

Day 10 – Litchfield National Park to Darwin
Today is day of waterfalls and the epic landscape of Litchfield. Soak in the pure waters of the falls, then head off on a hike to explore the park further, taking in Florence and Wangi Falls. Discover the intriguing termite mounds that stand tall across the park, and find peace in the waters of Buley Rockhole, before heading back to Darwin to end your tour.
